Communicating the love of Christ to all people. That is who we are as a church. Our mandate comes from the ministry of Christ and the heart of God. All we must seek to do as believers and as the body of Christ is to show and tell Christ to others.

Communication takes place in community (the body of Christ), not isolation. 40 Days of Community is a great opportunity to learn, experience, and practice our purpose. Existing in a healthy community with others can be difficult, especially biblical community, because of the expectations and responsibilities placed on each person. During 40 Days we will learn about God’s expectations and then put them into practice toward one another.

Communication takes place toward the community (the world in which we live). 40 Days of Community will be designed to give us personal and corporate opportunities to reach out to our neighbors and others. The love of Christ is not just for those who believe, but more importantly is for those who do not, so that they may.

I want to encourage you to invest yourself in 40 Days of Community, which begins October 2^nd and goes through November 13^th. The four focus areas of the emphasis is to attend a weekly Sunday School or small group, attend weekly worship, do a daily devotional, and memorize a Scripture weekly. Each of us can do those things, if we choose, as well as pray daily for ourselves and one another. Will you take the 40 Days of Community challenge and see what God will do in you and through you and our church?
